Kids make festive clay art inspired by turkeys and pumpkins in this seasonal ceramics class at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Students hand-build a range of projects, including cheerful turkeys and pumpkins as flat tiles and as small three-dimensional sculptures.
The class uses simple, kid friendly hand building techniques to shape, build and decorate each piece, so every project ends up with its own personality and detail. The focus is on creativity, texture and celebrating the fall season in a playful way. Rebecca Kline is the instructor.
The class is for ages 5 to 12 and meets on Monday evenings for three weeks. Register through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education.
