The Reading Royals host the Adirondack Thunder at Santander Arena for a weekday morning faceoff, with the puck dropping well before lunchtime. ECHL hockey moves fast, and a morning game gives you the full arena experience at a time when the whole building is buzzing with energy.
This game is an Education Day, a special morning matinee built around school groups. Classes fill the stands for a field trip that pairs live professional hockey with the science, math, and teamwork angles that come with it. Teachers and group leaders can reach out to the Royals to reserve seats for their students.
Families and fans outside of school groups are welcome too, so if a morning at the rink fits your schedule better than a night game, this is a good one to catch. Expect the usual Royals game day atmosphere: Slapshot working the crowd, promotions between periods, and a lively downtown Reading crowd cheering on the home team.
