The Berks County Wine Trail turns its November tasting weekend into a benefit for local veterans. Ticket holders make their way around the member wineries on a self guided tour, sampling locally produced wines matched with fall and harvest themed food pairings at each stop. Plan your own route, take your time, and see how different the wines can taste from one family winery to the next.
A portion of every ticket sold goes to the Berks County Veterans Office, and the participating wineries will also be collecting donation items, with a list of what is needed posted closer to the date. A ticket is good at each winery on the trail and across both weekends of the event, so there is room to spread the visits out.
The Douglassville stop sits at 227 Levengood Road, an easy anchor point for an afternoon in the countryside. Come taste, toast, and give something back to the people who served.
