Pumpkin People of Wyomissing turns the whole borough into a fall gallery. Pumpkin headed figures appear at homes, storefronts, and gathering spots around town, each one built and dressed up by the neighbors and businesses who put it out front. Some lean spooky, some lean silly, and the fun is in spotting how different each creation turns out.
Viewing is self guided, so you set the pace. Walk a block or two after school, take a longer loop through the tree lined streets on a crisp afternoon, or drive a slow circuit and let the kids call out favorites from the back seat. Bring a camera, since the displays tend to reward a closer look.
The display is organized by Wyomissing Borough Parks and Recreation and sited across the community rather than in one location, making it an easy addition to errands, a stroll, or a visit with friends from elsewhere in Berks County.
