About the event
The Creekside Concert Series brings live music outdoors to Spring Township parks over the course of the summer, with concerts presented by the township's parks and recreation department at no charge. The lineup leans on regional bands and community groups whose sets range from patriotic favorites to familiar songs pulled from across the decades, which makes it an easy evening out for a mix of ages.
Plan on an informal, bring your own setup. Audiences are asked to bring chairs or blankets for seating, and packing a picnic dinner to eat before the music starts is part of the tradition. The township asks that pets and alcoholic beverages stay at home. Performances run roughly two hours and include an intermission, so there is a natural break to stretch and visit with neighbors.
Specific dates and the performer for each concert are posted by the township as the season approaches. If weather looks likely to interfere, the township shares cancellation notices on its website and Facebook page on the day of the concert.
