About the event
JCWK Dance Lab teams up with Alvernia University for an evening of dance classes built for adults, whether you teach at a studio, dance in college, or have never set foot in a class before. Sessions run at different levels and times, so you can find the one that matches where you are.
The series moves through a range of styles across its three parts, with Beginning Jazz led by Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley, Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, then Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King alongside Flamenco with Amanda Pena. Each class is guided by working dancers and educators.
JCWK Dance Lab is led by Berks County native Jessica Warchal-King and centers its work on joy, connection, and wellness through story sharing and dance, and she serves as a Lecturer and Artist in Residence in Dance at Alvernia University. Expect a welcoming room on the Reading campus and a focus on the pleasure of moving with other people.
