Genesius Theatre presents Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, a stage work built from interviews with women about their lives, their bodies, and their experiences with violence. The piece moves between humor and deep feeling, giving voice to stories that often go unheard, and it has been performed everywhere from large arenas to small community stages around the world.
This production is brought to the stage by volunteers from across Berks County as a fundraiser for the Berks Urgent Response Network, with proceeds supporting its Neighbor Fund. That fund offers financial assistance to local individuals and families facing urgent hardship connected to immigration enforcement.
An art auction accompanies the performance, with donated artwork and other items available for bidding while audience members enjoy drinks and snacks before the show.
