Muhlenberg RiverFest is the township's three-day food and music festival on the banks of the Schuylkill River at Jim Dietrich Park, held each August. Admission and parking are free; the 2026 edition runs Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23. The festival fills the park's riverside lawns around the historic farmhouse with live music on two stages - twenty acts across the weekend - more than thirty food vendors, and rows of artisans and crafters. Bring lawn chairs; the river handles the scenery. 2026 is a milestone year twice over: the tenth RiverFest, in the same summer Muhlenberg Township marks its 175th anniversary. The township's Parks and Recreation department puts it on, and muhlenbergtwp.com carries each year's music lineup.
