About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University present a dance series made for adults, whether you teach at a studio, are studying in college, or have never set foot in a dance class. Sessions meet at Alvernia University on St. Bernardine Street in Reading, with this date beginning at 6:00 PM. Classes are offered at different levels and times, and the instructors are professional dancers and educators who guide participants through the joy and connection that movement brings.
The nine weeks are grouped into three parts. Series 1 offers Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley. Series 2 brings Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek. Series 3 covers Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King along with Flamenco with Amanda Pena.
JCWK Dance Lab is an ongoing project that brings together education, dance practice, and performance, exploring how dance can create joy, connection, and wellness through kinesthetic storytelling. That approach shapes the classroom here, making this a welcoming way for Berks County adults to move, learn a new style, and meet people doing the same.
