About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University present the Summer Dance Series for Adults, a nine-week program built for studio teachers, college students, and anyone curious about trying dance for the first time. Classes come in different levels and time slots, so you can step in where you feel comfortable.
The series moves through a wide range of styles. Series 1 offers Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley. Series 2 brings Beginning Modern with Warchal-King along with Floor Work led by Megan Zalek. Series 3 covers Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King, plus Flamenco with Amanda Pena.
The instructors are professional dancers and educators focused on the joy and connection that come from moving together. JCWK Dance Lab also runs the Greater Reading Area Dance Exchange, which shares information about dance opportunities for adults in Berks County and nearby areas, so this session fits naturally into its ongoing work with local adult dancers. Details on each class are available at jcwkdancelab.org/summerseries.
