About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University welcome adults into the studio for an evening of the Summer Dance Series for Adults. The series was built for studio teachers, college students, and anyone who has been curious about dance but has not yet tried it, with class options at different levels and professional dancers and educators leading the way.
Across the run of the series, participants can explore beginning jazz and intermediate contemporary with Jessica Warchal-King and Arielle Ridley, beginning modern and floor work with Warchal-King and Megan Zalek, and beginning ballet and flamenco with Sarena Gable, Warchal-King, and Amanda Pena. Each style offers a different way into rhythm, movement, and technique.
JCWK Dance Lab is based in Reading and combines education, physical dance practice, and performance, with a focus on creating joy, connection, and wellness through movement. The organization also runs The Greater Reading Area Dance Exchange, which shares information about dance opportunities for adults in Berks County and nearby areas. Come dressed to move and ready to enjoy the company of other dancers.
