Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues arrives at Genesius Theatre in a staging built on interviews with women about their lives, their bodies, and the violence many of them have lived through. The script moves between laughter and tenderness, giving voice to stories that often go unspoken and inviting the audience to celebrate the women in their own lives.
This production is powered by volunteers from across Berks County who have come together to raise awareness and funds. Proceeds benefit the Berks Urgent Response Network, specifically its Neighbor Fund, which provides financial assistance to Berks County individuals and families facing urgent financial hardship connected to immigration enforcement.
An art auction accompanies the performance, with donated artwork and other items open for bidding, and drinks and snacks available before curtain. Ticket holders can park at the DoubleTree lot, have dinner there beforehand, and take a complimentary shuttle over to the theatre.
