TRICH is a one-person show about living with trichotillomania, a condition that many people in the audience may be learning about for the first time. The story follows a teenage girl carrying a secret that seems to go unnoticed by everyone around her, retreating to a basement cubicle and wondering whether anyone will come looking for her.

What could be heavy material is handled with a light touch. The piece moves through mental health, isolation, and the work of recovery using humor, openness, and a steady stream of 90s references. It is the kind of theater that leaves room to laugh while taking its subject seriously.

The WCR Center for the Arts on North 5th Street in Reading hosts the performance, an intimate setting well suited to solo storytelling.
