TRICH is a solo play written and performed by Becca Schneider, who draws on her own experience of living with trichotillomania, a body-focused repetitive behavior involving the compulsive urge to pull out one's hair. The story introduces a teenage girl carrying a secret that somehow no one around her notices, and who retreats to a basement cubicle wondering whether anyone will come downstairs.

The show handles that material with humor and warmth, using comedy, candor, and a steady stream of 90s references to trace a path through isolation toward recovery. It runs about 75 minutes with no intermission. Directed by Jenn Haltman and Casey Pfeifer, TRICH won both the Best Actress and Audience Choice Awards at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City and has since played sold-out regional runs along the East Coast.

Beyond theater stages, the production has been used as an advocacy and education tool at mental health conferences, including a keynote appearance at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Pennsylvania State Conference. The WCR Center for the Arts presentation in downtown Reading is supported by NAMI and Haven Behavioral Hospital, making it a good fit for anyone interested in mental health conversations close to home.
